This time of the year seems extra family –ish. At our house we seem to have created many Fall & Winter family traditions that have become as much a part of the season as the weather. Our daughter is in her third year of college and just a bit too far away to come home for the occasional weekend. Halloween passed with only a few of her favorite candies (Peeps – not just Easter chicks!) being mailed to protect her forgotten phone charger!
The preparations for holiday baking and decorating seem to tug at the mom heartstrings the most. ‘Not to mention missing all that free labor!
My solution to missing my favorite kitchen sidekick is to send her that “College Kid Care Package Basket”. All her favorite holiday goodies or perhaps those special ingredients for her to treat her roommates to some of our traditional goodies.
